The preparations for the 2018 season of CEBIT are well on their way, since considerable changes are to be introduced: a new mix of topics with a whole new look. As ProExpo announces, CEBIT 2018 will be fully redefined, beginning with the starting date, through the duration, the halls in which it will take place, to the very structure of the exhibit. The new CEBIT will be a business festival of digitization and innovation, and it will be taking place over 5 days of June from now on.

The premiere of the summer edition of CEBIT will take place on June 11 through 15, 2018, in Hanover.

– The innovative power of digitization is transforming companies and the way we engage with technology at work and at home. It is bringing fundamental change to the entire economy and the very fabric of society. From these various aspects and facets of digitization we have distilled our mission for the new CEBIT – said Deutsche Messe Managing Board member Oliver Frese.

The new CEBIT, as added, consists of four main elements. The first is d!conomy – a platform meant for B2B presentations and establishing connections between companies, which will take three days, from Tuesday till Thursday (June 12-14).

The second element – d!tec focuses on digital future an will feature presentations of startups and innovative companies offering new, disruptive business models. Over four days of the exhibit (Tuesday through Friday), the entrepreneurial spirit of the digital age will flourish here. The third element, d!talk, will also take four days. This is a platform for sharing knowledge, for pioneers of digitization, global thinkers and business experts.

The big new feature of the exhibit is d!campus, the so-called “heart of CEBIT”, which will take place outdoors and act as the festival part of CEBIT, with music stages, various food stands, street artists, rollercoasters and other fun content.

The redesign of CEBIT includes a new logo, featuring a new font, as well as a new website. Companies looking to take part in the exhibit can already apply through the site, and interested visitors can get tickets at a discount price until August 15. More information can be found at www.cebit.de.
