Watch parrots in Cost Rica for EUR 2,000

Come to Cosa Rica and become one with nature. That's the job description offered by Holiday Pirates and the World Parrot Trust organization, which are ready to pay EUR 2,000 a month for it.

They are looking for ornithophiles, i.e. bird enthusiasts, to dedicate themselves to the protection of tropical birds. The job description says that the employee is to feed the parrot in the morning, after which they can surf until lunch, watch the birds inhabiting tropical rain forests in the afternoon and then enjoy the sunset at the beach.

As part of the Ara Project, which promotes the protection of tropical parrots, the best candidate will spend a month at Punta Islita, a tropical paradise in the Pacific on the Costa Rican peninsula of Nicoya.

He or she will work with conservators for four weeks, take care of Aras, run a blog on the project's website and upload video clips of birds in their natural habitats.
