Nusicijada once again among Europe's best festivals

A celebration of culture and entertainment, humor and style, the Nusicijada festival, held in Ivanjica, has once again received recognition from Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe (EFFE). Following the 2015 and 2016 label awarded out to Nusicijada as part of this program of the European Commission, initiated by the European Festivals Association (EFA) to the end of establishing a European festival platform, the Ivanjica festival confirmed its quality and earned the prestigious recognition for 2017 and 2018.

The international commission, presided over by Sir Jonathan Mills, described the festival thus:

– While promoting the work of renowned artists in Serbia, the festival successfully involves the local community of a small town, simultaneously establishing cooperation with partner-organizations in the wider region, thereby introducing an international context.

Nusicijada is organized by UG KudeS, together with the Municipality of Ivanjica, the Tourist Organization and the Cultural Center of Ivanjica.

Proud to have once again met the high criteria of quality in several areas (dedication to art, community involvement and international and global profile), the organizers of Nusicijada are glad to remain a part of the network of European festivals featuring outstanding artistic quality and being influential on the local, national and international level, presenting a wide range of genres activities to the audience, says the press release by KudeS.

The first gathering of festivals bearing the EFFE label is planned for May 5, 2017, in Germany, when the platforms supporting the festival network will be announced, whereas more details about the EFFE initiative's further plans will also be disclosed.
