Based on research organized by Ljubljana's daily newspaper "Finance", "Mercator" - the largest Slovenian company, "Simobil" - the most successful

According to the results of the research carried out by Ljubljana's business daily newspaper "Finance", trade company "Mercator" is still the largest, while the wireless telephony operator "Simobil" is the most successful company in Slovenia.

"Mercator" is on the top of the list of 1010 Slovenian companies ranked according to property property and number of workers. This company ranks the second in amount of sales and the seventh in size of profit.

The second place on this list belongs to drug manufacturer "Krka" from Novo Mesto, while the third is "Telekom Slovenia".

The first on the list of 100 most successful Slovenian companies is "Simobil". It is followed by power company "Dravske elektrane" from Maribor and steelworks "Akroni". The companies from this list were evaluated on the basis of six indicators - grom the growth of incomes and profit to the added value per employee.

According to newspaper "Finace", year 2007 was "golden year" for "Simobil" because it registered large profit and more than doubled its operational profit. That is why it is on the first place of the list in spite of the fact that is the 27th largest company in Slovenia.
