The document, as said on the official website of the Provincial Government, defines the cooperation in the development of RES and promoting the energy potential thereof, through the preparation of the feasibility study on the development of industrial pilot projects related to deep geothermal waters in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in the Republic of Serbia by ESG.
Secretary Grbic pointed out that the study defines four tasks which the Strasbourg-based partner had obliged to perform.
– The first task is to perform a survey of the potential of deep geothermal waters in Vojvodina, and the second one is to prepare the analysis of zones of geothermal importance – Grbic said and added that the third task was to define the geotechnology to be used in exploration, that is, whether ESG was to use data gathered by the Faculty of Mining and Geology and Naftna Industrija Srbije or gather data by itself by opening boreholes at the site.
According to Grbic, the most important task for the Provincial Government is the fourth one, where propositions on the possibilities of further cooperation and attracting investors interested in producing energy from geothermal springs should be defined.
The secretary especially pointed out that the Provincial Government had no financial expenditures related to the preparation of the study. On the other hand, the study will provide information necessary for future investors.
The memorandum was signed as part of the Days of Energy and Investments event.
