The newly opened facility of Poljostroj Union in Odzaci will be producing 250-300 tons of agricultural binders a month. The management plans to employ an additional 50-70 people in 2017 in the factory, which currently employs 30 workers, and the possibility of export to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union has also been announced, reports the Radio Odzaci portal.

The recent opening of the factory's new facility on the site of the former factory ITES in Odzaci was attended by the ambassador of Belarus, Vladimir Chushev, and deputy Dragomir Karic.

The owner of the company, Cedomir Stanojevic, announced that the plans for 2017 included expansion of capacities and employing an additional 50-70 workers.

– We will also try to expand our range of products beyond agricultural binders to include packaging, sacks and jumbo sacks. Our biggest market is Vojvodina, but we will try to win other markets with our quality, above all the eastern market, which is the most interesting to us – Stanojevic said.

Ambassador Chushev congratulated the owner of Poljostroj Union and the local self-government on the beginning of the facility's operations and the employment of new workers.

– I see that the company's owner is interested in establishing business connections with Belarus, above all in procurement of raw materials for the newly opened facility, which will contribute to the enhancement of agriculture in Serbia and Vojvodina. Furthermore, there's a possibility of export of the binders to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union – Chushev said.

Dragomir Karic pointed out that there were great possibilities for increasing the trade and expanding economic connections between Serbia and Belarus.

– I believe that this company can be competitive in the entire Eurasian Economic Union market with its quality and prices. We need to work with businessmen from the two countries on making the economic cooperation fair and without deficits, which is why I had asked the ambassador to come to Odzaci and get to know the municipality and its possibilities and tell businessmen from Belarus about his impressions – said Karic, as reported by the Radio Odzaci portal.
