Another absolute record was set at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport on Monday, December 19, 2016, when last year's number of passengers served annually was exceeded.

This year's passenger no. 4,776,165, Natalija Kuzovic, who set the record, was traveling Air Serbia's route to Amsterdam. She received a voucher for free service at the Business Salon at the airport in 2018.

The commercial operations manager, Miodrag Mirkovic, said that airport services kept improving constantly, and that relaxation zones, massage armchairs, rooms for parents with small children and, of course, polite and efficient stuff enabling a comfortable and short stay for passengers at the Belgrade Airport were just some examples of that.

– The thing that will bring the most joy to our passengers and visitors is certainly the overlook on our airport's roof, from which they will be able to observe airplanes and see air traffic from a whole new angle. An entirely new passenger check-in hall with 33 counters, of which 5 for self-check-in, is being built as part of our project on improving service quality and increasing comfort – Mirkovic pointed out.
