Memorandum of cooperation between CCIS and Modul University Vienna signed

The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), Marko Cadez, and the managing director of Modul University Vienna, Christian Hoffmann, signed, on Tuesday, August 9, a memorandum of cooperation between the two institutions, whose aim is to promote and improve the cooperation, transfer and exchange of experiences in university development and operations.

– The aim is to work together on the development of the business academy of the Chamber of Commerce, since Modul University has the knowledge and experience in how to later transform a business academy into a research center and university – Vadez said after the signing of the memorandum.

He stated that the aim was to improve the activities of the Education Center at CCIS through informal expert education through various programs in cooperation with Modul University.

– We will strive to develop the cooperation further, if we estimate that there's interest in opening a faculty within CCIS or a similar institution founded by the Chamber – Cadez said and added that the projects of universities and business academies had proven to be successful when founded by the commercial sector and companies.

Modul University Vienna is among the leading private educational institutions in Austria founded by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and has a developed system of providing educational services, Hoffmann said.

It has a long tradition of education in the fields of tourism and hospitality, and, since 2007, it has expanded to include international management, new media technologies, public administration and sustainable development. The curricula have been approved by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria.
