Serbian power exchange opened

Serbia's power exchange (SEPEX) was officially opened Wednesday. The first transactions have already been made in the organized electricity market in Belgrade.

This power exchange was formed by the public company Elektromreza Srbije in cooperation with the European power exchange EPEX SPOT.

This form of trading should benefit both citizens and the economy given that competition in this market should lower the prices and increase the stability of power supply.
