Electricity market in SEE SEEPEX will be operational as of February 17 -Serbia is expecting profit of EUR 400 m

- Starting SEEPEX will be a big step towards generating terms i.e. suitable solutions for set up of regional electricity market in SEE. It is the step that has been awaited for a long time, both by the interested parties within the country of community and by participants at other electricity market in Europe – it was communicated in the announcement.

In July 2015, SEEPEX electricity market was officially registered at the Agency for business registries of Serbia and it should start operating in late November.

According to previous estimations, Serbia will, through trading in electricity in the region, generate app. EUR 400 m . Electricity at this market will be traded in just like shares and energy suppliers are not only producers but also traders who are, in line with valid laws, registered.
