Representatives of the members of the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia appointed the new Managing Board at a general assembly in Belgrade. On that occasion, Georgios Papanastasiou (Alpha Bank Serbia) and Vasileios Kakagiotis (Robne kuce Beograd - Beograd Department Stores) were named the chairman and the vice chairman of the Board, respectively.
Other members of the new Managing Board are Zafeirios Lampadaridis (Hyatt, Excelsior), Stefanos Karapetsis (Mellon Serbia) and Stylianos Zakof (Chipita).
New members of the Managing Board said that the Association would continue to work towards enhancing the communication between the existing and prospective Greek investors and Serbian authorities, creating a platform for the development and promotion of business, and keeping all their members up to date, with the aim of providing support to the Greek business community and improving the economic cooperation between Greece and Serbia.
The Hellenic Business Association of Serbia is a private, non-government, non-profit organization founded in 2003. It has 75 members that are active in various business sectors, such as banking and finance, food and drinks, hotel and heavy industry, retailing, media, telecommunications, real estate... Member companies of the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia have so far invested over EUR 2.5 billion and employ more than 15,000 people in Serbia.
