Agency for Privatization to shut down by the end of 2015
The Agency for Privatization will shut down by the end of the year since then deadline for privatization expires, the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, said today and explained it does not mean privatization will be impossible in the future but that resource ministry wil be in charge of these cases.
- The Agency will shut down by the end of the year and we
have 17 strategic companies to deal with. We committed to solve 7 by the end of
the year and we will publish it quickly –
Sertic said for TV Pink.
According to him, one part of companies with state-owned ownership stays.
Speaking about the companies which have not found a strategic partner, Sertic noticed that people have lived for years thinking that the state has a magic stick and that someone will come and solve their problems.
Sertic reminded that the law, which became effective three weeks ago, closed SIEPA as well as that Developmental Agency of Serbia was set up which should start operating by New Year.
- We decreased headcount by half and young people will be hired to work on complicated tasks of attracting investments and small sector development – he said.
Speaking of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the minister said the model as Euro-continental was made.
