South Korea is the world's leader in Internet connection speed, followed by Denmark and Iceland, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has announced.

In a recently published report which lists the countries with the best and the worst Internet connection in the world, all the ranking was done on the basis of the average Internet connection speed, the percentage of basic Internet subscribers, and the percentage of households owning a computer.
South Korea has for the first time dethroned Denmark which has been topping this list for the past few years. Iceland ranks third, followed by the United Kingdom, Sweden, Luxembourg and Switzerland, the report reads.

The worst Internet connection is found in Chad, followed by Cuba, Afghanistan and Ethiopia. When it comes to Europe, Albania has the slowest average Internet connection speed.

According to this report, Serbia ranks second out of 167 countries and is immediately preceded by Hungary, Urugay and Bulgaria, and immediately followed by Argentina, Cyprus and Oman.
