Svetlana Alexievich from Belarus wins Nobel Prize in Literature

Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich is this year's laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature, the Swedish Royal Academy announced.
The Swedish Royal Academy pointed to her "polyphonic writing, monument to suffering and courage in our time."
The Nobel Prize in Literature is the fourth Nobel Prize awarded this year.
The Nobel Prize comes with a financial reward amounting to USD 972,000.
