European Investment Bank opens office in Zagreb

The European Investment Bank (EIB) opened an office in Zagreb on Monday (5 October 2015).

- We will focus on projects that are important for Croatia, primarily on investments, by providing support to Croatian and foreign entrepreneurs - Manager Anton Kovacev said at the opening ceremony.

He added that the EIB office in Zagreb would be promoting investment opportunities and projects in Croatia, the daily Poslovni Dnevnik reports.

EIB Vice President Dario Scannapieco said that special attention would be paid to investment in small and medium-sized enterprises, while Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Branko Grcic noted that the EIB had contributed EUR 4.5 billion to a number of Croatian industries since 2001.

- It is an affordable source of finance which has served as a strong financial lever of development and growth of Croatia over the past 15 years - Grcic stressed.
