Construction of new concert hall in Belgrade announced - Investment of up to EUR 50 m
The prime minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, attended on Sunday, September 20, 2015, the trial of Belgrade Philharmonic orchestra headed by Zubin Mehta before the gala concert and announced construction of a big concert hall in Belgrade.
The prime minister communicated to journalists his impressions after meeting one of the greatest artists today who has been for 47 years head of Israeli philharmonic orchestra and 13 years was managing New York philharmonic orchestra and said Mehta did him a great honor with today’s encounter.
He explained that after the end of reconstruction in some parts and construction of the Museum of modern arts and the National museum after years of irresponsibility, construction of concert hall will start.
Vucic said he hopes it will not cost more than EUR 50 m and said to Ivan Tasovac, the minister, that he takes care the price does not increase since it is a usual thing with similar projects.
