Stone processing brings profit - Emilio Stecher from Prijepolje exports everything it produces

Emilio Stecher, a company based in Prijepolje, is one of the biggest foreign investments in this town and that part of Serbia, and almost everything this company produces is exported. Its founder and owner, Mesa Podbicanin, is known as a man who returned from Switzerland out of love for his country and his hometown to start a company in Prijepolje that benefits not only its employees, but also many people living in that town and surrounding places.

Everything it produces the company sells abroad. About 80% of production is exported to Switzerland and the rest goes to Germany, Austria and countries in the region. The companies specializes in the production of kitchen panels, but it also designs interior and exterior for luxury facilities across Europe. The company has excellent references and plenty of satisfied clients who constantly come back for more.

Speaking about the operations of Emilio Stecher in the domestic market, Podbicanin explains that his company's sales are the lowest in Serbia and that, when it comes to the region, company products are in the highest demand in Montenegro, primarily at the seaside.

- Crisis is really in a full swing, which is best seen in the number of unemployed people who are coming to us every day looking for job. I would really like to help everyone - Podbicanin points out.

The company's core activity is stone processing, cutting and shaping. In its production, Emilio Stecher uses over 300 types of stones from all around the world, including marble, granite, slate, sandstone, limestone and Onix. Using the state-of-the-art machines for processing stones, such as Water jet and CNC machines, Emilio Stecher makes a great variety of products out of stone.

Podbicanin says he is particularly proud of the bed of stone that was unveiled at furniture fair in Belgrade in 2009. As he notes, this unusual bed of exclusive design caught a lot of attention.

- Anything you can imagine, we can make from stone. That's why the company's slogan is "Everything is possible with us" - Podbicanin says and adds that aside from doing their best to always offer the Swiss quality to their clients, the company also strives to bring innovation to its production.

- We make the most beautiful kitchen panels, stairways, floor and wall covers, facades and decorative items of stone. We're doing our best to always be at service of modern clients - says Mesa Podbicanin.

Speaking about specificities of the "stone production" business, he underlines that modern buyers have a clear vision of what they want, and that the company is capable of turning their wishes into reality.

We want to conquer new foreign markets

When asked about business plans of the company for the future, Podbicanin replies that the company's wish is to conquer some new foreign markets in the future period, adding that they find the Near East and former Soviet Union, primarily Russia, the most interesting.
