Requests for bankruptcy were submitted by 11 out of 43 firms in restructuring
The request to start bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy procedure until Thursday, June 4, 2015 was submitted by 11 out of 43 firms in restructuring which stayed without protection of trustees, the state secretary at the Ministry of trade, Dragan Stevanovic said for Beta agency.
Stevanovic said that the companies comprise Industry of
machines and components "14. oktobar" from Krusevac, "Vršački
vinogradi", "Vojvodinaput-Bačkaput", "PIK Zemun",
Livnica Topola, Fabrika vagona Kraljevo, Hemijska industrija "Župa",
"Minel transformatori".
Stevanovic said said they basically discussed
with representatives of Polish "Ursus" options for privatization of Industrija motora Rakovica (IMR).
Stevanovic said that companies which as of June 1 stayed without the protection
of trustees employ 5000 people and the same number in companies for which privatization
process has been released and which will have protection by the end of October.
He outlined these 10.000 workers will have the option to take reimbursement for which the Government of Serbia set funds aside.
Stevanovic said that after new company value estimation which will last up to one month, release of public calls for privatizations will start and it is expected to end by October 31 this year.
He said everything that is not solved through privatization will get an epilogue through bankruptcy.
