Breast check through phone - Breast Test mobile application available in Serbia

Cell phones and tablets users in Serbia have recently been provided with Breast Test mobile application. The application facilitates proper self-check of breasts and early recognition of changes which can be the sign of carcinoma development, the Association of women suffering and treated from breast cancer "Let’s be together" announced.

The application is completely free of charge and available in several languages, including Serbia on "Google Play" for Android and "App Store market" for "Apple" devices. The application was designed so that breast self-check would be done on regular basis and proper way.

With the support of mobile phone, every women in six steps can make regular breast self-check. Apart from that, at every moment, users of applications can keep diaries with notes, check date of the last check and application will remind them when the time is for the new one.

Available data in the world show that every year, approximately 1.670.000 becomes ill and 520.000 of women dies from this illness. Out of total number of newly-admitted patients in the world, more than 20% are younger than 50.

Development of Breast Test application was supported by pharmaceutical company "Roche" and it is available at the website of the Association "Let’s be together" budimozajedno.rs, as well as on the information and educational portal onkonet.rs.
