Construction of port at TE-KO Kostolac starts in October - Works total EUR 13 m
At the Thermal power plant and pit mines (TE-KO) "Kostolac" by October, construction of the port where EUR 13 m will be poured will start, it was announced on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the signing of the contract on performing port activity between TE-KO "Kostolac" and the Agency for port management.
Contract was signed by the acting manager at TE-KO "Kostolac" Goran Horvat and the agency head, Vuk Perovic.
Signing of the contract with which Kostolac got the license for performing port activity enables terms for preparation works and construction of the quay in Kostolac which should start in September or October latest, the head Horvat announced.
He said it was estimated that it takes 13 months for the port construction but he outlined that he is sure deadline can be shorter and that the port will be built in early second half 2016 already, i.e. in July or August.
Total value of the first and second stage of the package agreement in Kostolac totals USD 1,2 billion and construction of new thermal power plant B3 was planned within the second stage.
Construction of the railroad in Kostolac which is also planned within the stage should start soon and port construction by October, Horvat specified.
