VUCKOVIC: No dividend profit by the end of the year
Editor of the Macroeconomic analysis and trends (MAT) Vladimir Vuckovic, has said today that in January this year, dividend income was aggressively collected from public companies but that the budget will no longer be able to count on that income source by the end of the year.
Dividend income from public companies, Telekom Srbija, Nikola Tesla airport, in the first three months this year totaled, as it was said at the presentation of new MAT edition, approximately 8 billion dinars and outstanding incomes from license for 4G technology totaled RSD 2,5 billion.
-In January, dividends were aggressively collected from public companies and then annual plan was almost completed. It is likely we will not be able to count on that income by the end of the year – Vuckovic said.When asked whether the state should take profit from public companies because their space is narrowed this way, he said that if companies want to be sustainable, they have to reinvest a part of the profit.
The author of MAT, Miladin Kovacevic, outlined the fact that when it comes to profit of public companies, there has been misuse in the previous period.
