Belgrade to host Balkan Wine Expo March 5

Balkan Wine Expo event which promotes Italian wines from the Balkans market will be held March 5 in Belexpocentar in Belgrade.

Organized by publishing company Bacha Arianna from Treviso and their specialized magazine, "Papageno", Balkan Wine Expo will present more than 30 wine producers, two big consortiums, over 300 labels of best Italian wines and six olive oil producers.

According to editor in chief at Papageno, Alvaro De Anne, wine culture in Serbia is at enviable level and our country is at the moment a strategic destination for numerous product categories from Italy.

The event will be open from 10.00 to 20.00 and will be mainly focused on professionals – importers, distributors, hotels, restaurant-buyers, sommeliers, media reps.

They will have the chance to taste more than 300 wine labels from vineries with the greatest tradition in wine growing from Italian regions.

This is the first time in Belgrade that six producers of extravergine olive oil will present.

The event will not have selling character but attendees will be able to taste unlimited quantities with bailing a glass at the price of RSD 300.

The same day, at the halls of Zica and Ostrog at the Holiday Inn hotel, seminars on wine and olive oil will be held, the organizers said.
