Jagodinska vinarija 1892 builds motel - Works ending August 2015
Right next to its wine cellar amidst vineyards, Jagodinska vinarija 1892, a winery based in Jagodina, is building a motel with 23 beds and six suites, and it also plans to build a farm for thoroughbred horses, Adriana Milosavljevic, the director of this winery, told Tanjug news agency Monday (16 February 2015).
This "wine house - villa" will feature a restaurant and a wine tasting room, a space for smaller events, for intimate atmosphere, as well as a special wine store and balconies with the view of the vineyard, Milosavljevic added.
Some hotel amenities will be finished in May, while the entire facility should be completed in August, she noted.
Jagodinska vinarija 1892 and two more wineries in this area were added to the Wine Route map through Serbia two years ago.
- Guests are mainly coming here over the weekend - said Milosavljevic.
Jagodinska vinarija 1892 has 67 hectares under vine for the production of high-quality white and red wines.
Jagodinska vinarija 1892 bought vineyards in 2010 from the Jagodinski podrumi wine cellar that operated as part of Navip. New owners Ljubisa Milosavljevic and Dusan Stojanovic named the company after the year of the establishment of Jagodinski podrumi (1892).
This winery in Jagodina is equipped with state-of-the-art wine making and keeping equipment made by Bucher from France and has a production capacity of 400,000 liters.
