Novi Sad Could Get “Turbo” Traffic Circle – Works Worth Around RSD 300 Million

The Novi Sad City Administration for Building Land and Investments has published the tender for the construction of a traffic circle between Cara Lazara Blvd and Fruskogorska Street. According to the tendering documentation, this is the 2nd phase, which encompasses works on the accompanying infrastructure and public lighting.

The proposed “turbo” traffic circle, or a traffic circle with a spiral roundabout, is a multi-track roundabout where the traffic flows are physically separate from each other.

The total surface of the newly designed traffic areas is around 13,200 m2.

Also, according to the documentation, the removal of trees is planned in the zone covered by the designed traffic areas.

The works are worth RSD 280,345,385.25, and the deadline for the participation in the tender is October 27.

Let us remind that “An Analysis of Traffic with the Help of Micro and Macro Simulations of Traffic Flows in the Shipyard Location in Novi Sad”, which was prepared by Via Inzenjering doo in 2019, also envisages the project of the reconstruction of intersections and turning roundabouts into “turbo roundabouts”.
