The European Union is planning to sign an agreement on a grant of EUR 11 million with the Development Agency of Serbia, to the end of providing support in overcoming the technological gap and upgrading the equipment for the purpose of modernization of the production, expansion of capacities, creation of new jobs and improved competitiveness in the market, said the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Sem Fabrizi, in his conversation with Serbian Economy Minister Andjelka Atanaskovic.
– This project which is financed by the EU will help create conditions for a bigger growth and competitiveness of the economy – Fabrizi said, as announced on the government’s website.
He repeated that the EU is prepared to continue supporting the Government of Serbia and the ministry in its further economic growth, especially through the planned setting up of a platform for the coordination of reforms in a business environment.
According to her, the platform will be supported through a new project that the EU is financing using the budget of EUR 8 million, which will also contribute to the simplification and digitization of services which the state is providing to the business sector.
