The project Key Steps Towards Gender Equality in Serbia, which is realized by the Coordination Body for Gender Equality, the Ministry of European Integration and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), with support by the EU Delegation in Serbia, has placed three public calls for the submission of projects in the field of economic empowerment of women for female organizations of the civil society and networks, professional associations and agricultural cooperatives, it has been announced on the website of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality of the Government of Serbia.
As pointed out, the European Union will support at least 10 projects throughout Serbia with EUR 300,000. These projects will contribute to the carrying out of the National Action Plan for Gender Equality 2016-2018, in three program areas –
women in the labor market, female entrepreneurship and economic empowerment of women in rural areas.
Only female organizations of the civil society and networks, professional associations and agricultural cooperatives possessing the necessary knowledge and proven experience in working on gender equality and economic empowerment of women are eligible. An awarded grant will amount to 20,000 to 30,000 euros. A proposed project may take one to two years.
